Ehh, this doesn't bother me too much, assuming that their romantic relationship didn't start until years later. Rather than that, I'm more raising an eyebrow at why someone who is nearly twenty wants to be friends with an eleven-year-old. You'd think she would find him too immature to want to be around.

- And why did you do this, Axis?? Did you really want to come across like you wanted to abduct her? What is wrong with him? And of course Embeth cannot find anything wrong with this. Douglass forbid Axis be put in a negative light.

Playing Devil's Advocate here, because I don't mind this; playfully sneaking up on your lover like this is a common romance trope, and pretty harmless most times, as long as it's acceptable to both parties involved. If it's done well, it can sometimes make for a cute scene, in my opinion.
